Anne F. Zajac Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Anne F. Zajac, 97, of Liverpool, passed to the Kingdom of Heaven on Saturday. She was born in Cwikow, Poland, while her parents Joseph and Bertha Segal were on an extended visit to relatives. Anne retired from Merchants Bank after 34 years of service. She was a member of numerous organizations, including The Holy Name Society, Sacred Heart Seniors and the Polish Community Home, where she and her sisters were once performers in a traditional dance group taught by her father. She enjoyed summers camping at Selkirk, cooking, sewing, bowling and dancing. Large gatherings made her happy, but Anne’s greatest pride and joy were her sons and their families. Personable, kind-hearted and generous, she had an impact on many lives. Anne was predeceased by her parents, her beloved husband of 65 years, Henry (2013) and her older sister Julia Lis Backity. She is survived by her sons, Richard (Bonnie) and Larry (Marge); grandchildren Kelly, Craig, Linde and John; great-grandchildren Gabriel, Oliver, Sienna, Henrik, Brynlee and Revson; a sister, Jean Stone; several nieces and nephews and devoted friend and caregiver, Cathy Miller. We wish to thank the nurses and staff of Crouse Health 4 North for their compassion and the excellent care they gave her. Family and Friends may call from 4:00 to 7:00 PM Monday, April 4th, at the Giminski-Wysocki Funeral Home;1320 W. Genesee St, Syracuse. A Mass of Christian Burial at The Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus; 927 Park Ave, Syracuse will be held at 9:30 AM Tuesday, April 5th. Burial will be at the Sacred Heart Cemetery, Geddes.
